Chevrolet Philippines reveals the All-New Chevrolet Colorado at the Chevrolet Motorama 100th year celebration

Chevrolet Philippines – The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) -- exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet automobiles, parts and accessories in the Philippinespresented an exciting preview of one of the most anticipated Chevrolet vehicles to be released in the Philippine market in 2012- The All-New Chevrolet Colorado.

The preview of the All-new Colorado was held at the Chevrolet Motorama 100 years celebration event at the SM Mall of Asia Music hall. The event featured classic Chevy vehicles and Chevy’s current line-up with several entertainment programs. Chevrolet Brand Ambassador Ryan Agoncillo took charge of presenting and revealing the all-new Colorado to excited spectators.

The all-new Chevrolet Colorado is built on nearly a century of Chevrolet truck building heritage and engineered with the best combination of power, durability, comfort and economy in its class. It has been subjected to a tough development and validation process, and has been tested in rigorous conditions around the world.

The pick-up segment is one of the largest segments in the Philippine automotive industry and the Colorado has the right workings to be received well by the Filipino market.” - Atty. The all-new Colorado is powered by a four-cylinder Duramax turbo-diesel engine, available in 2.5L or 2.8L engines, 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains, automatic and manual transmissions. The 2.8L Duramax churns out 180hp at 3,800 RPM and 470 Nm at 2,000 RPM when mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Matched with a five-speed manual transmission, the engine produces 440 Nm of torque at 2,000 RPM. Meanwhile, the 2.5L Duramax produces 150hp at 3,800 RPM and 350 Nm at 2,000 RPM.

In addition to a high-performance engine built for durability and a spacious and refined cabin developed to reduce outside noise that enhances driving comfort and pleasure, the all-new Colorado also comes with an array of features that are sure to provide optimum driving experience.

The LTZ variant that was on display at the Chevy Motorama comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and 255/65 R17 tires, complementing the expansive wheel wells.

The All-new Chevrolet Colorado is set to be available in the market by the first semester of 2012.
